Mario Díaz has a law degree and a diploma in management consulting from Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE. E.1) and has been a member of the Senior Corps of State Civil Administrators since 1989.
He was assigned to the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Science in Saragossa, the Technical Secretariat-General of the Ministry of Education and Science, specifically the Sub-Directorate General for Resources and as deputy sub-director general of the Sub-Directorate General for Reporting (Technical Secretariat-General) of the Ministry of Public Administrations from 1998 to 2000.
He was the technical vice-secretary general of the Ministry of Public Administration between the years 2000 and 2008.
He has been the technical vice-secretary general of the Technical Secretariat-General at the Ministry of Public Works since May 2008 and was appointed a member of the board of directors of the public business entity Aena in November that year.
