ENAIRE joins the REDI business network to support diversity and promote LGBTI inclusion
ENAIRE, the Spanish air navigation service provider, has joined REDI, the Business Network for Diversity and LGBTI Inclusion as part of the Protocol signed on 29 June by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda (MITMA) with the aforementioned association.
Today, REDI held the online event "REDI to Embrace" to welcome 17 new partner companies, including ENAIRE, under the title "Companies for equality and human rights". At this event, REDI virtually presented to ENAIRE a certificate verifying the commitment that the organisation accepted in the area of diversity and inclusion, a certificate that was accepted on behalf of the company by the head of ENAIRE's Department of Corporate Social Responsibility and the 2030 Agenda, María López Fernández-Pacheco.
The online event "REDI to Embrace" was held today, at which 17 new collaborating companies were welcomed and recognised
For ENAIRE, the goal of this partnership, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, is to champion an inclusive, tolerant and respectful environment for LGBTI individuals that fosters the social normalisation and the elimination of sociocultural biases and prejudices through awareness, training and support.
ENAIRE, as a United Nations Global Compact member entity, also recognises its support and respect for the protection of Human Rights, and is taking a further step thanks to this collaboration in which, in 2021, it will promote, with the help of REDI and in partnership with the other associated companies, awareness and sensitisation by organising talks, events and workshops in an effort to create inclusive work spaces regardless of the sexual orientation, identity or gender expression of the people who make up ENAIRE.
Representatives of CEOE International, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Global Compact Office, of which ENAIRE is a part, took part in the online event, which dealt with the implementation of equality and human rights in corporate settings, the challenges and national and international trends, and incorporating diversity into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, to which ENAIRE is firmly committed, as reflected in its strategic plan.
In order to carry out the objectives resulting from this collaboration, ENAIRE has already set up its own network with an internal working group that is open to all its personnel.
