Northern Central Region
From ENAIRE's Area Control Centre in Madrid, we operate air navigation services for the Madrid FIR area, north of 39th parallel North, in an airspace covering 435,000 square kilometers, including the autonomous regions of Galicia, Principado de Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country, Navarra, Castilla y León, La Rioja and Madrid; part of Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura and Aragón, the coastal area of the Cantabrian Sea and the Galician coast.
In the Northern Central Region there are six terminal control areas (TMA): Galicia, Asturias, Santander, Bilbao, Madrid and Zaragoza, and three control traffic areas (CTA): San Sebastian, Pamplona and Vitoria, which include the approach to most of its airports.
This region provides services for a large number of airports, which are: A Coruña, Asturias, Bilbao, Burgos, Huesca-Pyrenees, León, Logroño, Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Madrid-Cuatro Vientos, Pamplona, Salamanca, San Sebastián, Seve Ballesteros-Santander, Santiago, Valladolid, Vigo, Vitoria and Zaragoza.
Eastern Region
From ENAIRE's Area Control Centre in Barcelona, we operate a 300,000 square kilometers airspace comprising Catalonia, the Valencian Region, part of the Region of Murcia and Aragon; as well as a large area of Spanish Mediterranean territorial waters. The Barcelona and Valencia terminal areas (TMA) fall within its radius.
The following airports are located within this region: Girona-Costa Brava, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Sabadell, Valencia, Alicante-Elche, Reus, Albacete and Murcia.
Southern Region
From ENAIRE's Area Control Centre in Seville, we manage an airspace over 179,000 square kilometers airspace that includes Andalusia, the province of Badajoz, part of Ciudad Real, Albacete and Murcia, the entire Bay of Cádiz and the entire western Mediterranean, as well as Ceuta and Melilla.
Two terminal control areas (TMA): Seville and Almería; a control traffic area (CTA) in Granada, and eight airports: Seville, Málaga-Costa del Sol, Almería, Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén, Melilla, Córdoba, Jerez and Badajoz, and a heliport: Ceuta.
Balearic Islands Region
From ENAIRE's Area Control Centre in Palma we operate air navigation services for the five islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Cabrera) and the Balearic archipelago, composed by different islands. Only the first three islands mentioned have airports and air navigation aids. It covers 51,400 square kilometers.
Canary Islands Region
From ENAIRE's Area Control Centre in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands), we operate air navigation services in a geographical area of 1,370,000 square kilometers. Especially over ocean areas where the Canarian Archipelago and part of Western Sahara are located.
In the Canary Islands there is a terminal control area (TMA) and eight airports, which provide services for: Tenerife Norte, Tenerife Sur, Gran Canaria, La Gomera, El Hierro, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Palma.
