ENAIRE presents its virtual reality training simulator for air traffic controllers at the Mitma stand at Airspace Integration Week
ENAIRE will play a leading role at the Airspace Integration Week international congress, which will turn Madrid into the world's capital of air and space navigation, and of drones, from 25 to 28 September. The Secretary of State for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda and ENAIRE's President, David Lucas, will open the congress.
Specifically, ENAIRE will present its most innovative simulators and displays at the congress, and its professionals will take part in numerous conferences.
The event focuses on air and space traffic management, civil-military cooperation and drone operations
ENAIRE will present the following technical content at its stand:
- Virtual reality training simulator for air traffic controllers.
- Display with the features of the new iFOCUCS air traffic controller position.
- Display with flow management tools, flight plans and reserved airspace: ICARO maps and Flow Tools
- Main screen: ENAIRE's EYWA management application (shows real-time flights, in addition to other management information), Icaro Maps (real-time information on flights, meteorology, etc.), Flow Tools, Datalink, as well as various videos related to U-space, civil-military coordination, and more.
- STARTICAL screen, on the ENAIRE and Indra company to create a constellation of satellites and hologram.
- Touchscreen: EAD Group on aeronautical information, an entity that comprises ENAIRE, together with the German air navigation service provider (DFS) and the Austrian company Frequentis.
About ENAIRE
ENAIRE is the air navigation service provider in Spain.
As a company of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, it provides en route control services for all flights and overflights from five control centres in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Gran Canaria and Palma, as well as approach services to every airport in the country.
In addition, 46 airports receive ENAIRE's communication, navigation and surveillance services, and 21 airports, including the country's busiest, rely on its aerodrome control services.
ENAIRE is Europe's fourth largest air traffic manager and participates in the A6 Alliance, a coalition of air navigation providers responsible for over 80% of European air traffic, and which is seeking to modernise the air traffic management system. ENAIRE, as the agency appointed by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda to implement the U-space system in Spain, will be the provider of the Common Information Services (CIS), which are essential for administering U-space services to drones and Urban Air Mobility, in interaction with local air traffic control services, so that all types of aircraft can fly safely in the same airspace.
ENAIRE has received the highest score in Europe on the aviation safety key performance indicator. It has also been awarded the EFQM 500 Seal for its safe, efficient, innovative and sustainable management of air navigation services.
