ENAIRE managed over 158,000 flights in November, 9% more than in 2022
ENAIRE, Spain's air navigation service provider, managed over 158,000 flights (158,584) in November, 9% more than in the same month in 2022. Of those, 85,884 were international (+11.2%), 38,400 were overflights (which do not land at or depart from a Spanish airport) (+9.1%), and 34,300 were domestic (+3.7%). This was the busiest November ever in terms of the number of flights managed by ENAIRE.
All ENAIRE control centres registered an increase in the number of flights managed: Madrid recorded 94,732 flights (7.4%); Barcelona, 66,304 (12.8%); Seville, 38,430 (8.4%); Canary Islands, 34,476 (6.2%); and Palma, 13,615 (4.3%).
A comparison between November 2023 and the same month in 2019, a record year for flights managed by ENAIRE before the pandemic, shows a 7.2% increase.

In the first eleven months of the year, ENAIRE managed over 2 million flights (2,028,093), almost 11% more than in the same period in 2022 (10.7%).
Overflights from January to November (469,005) increased by 16.6%, international flights (1,149,121) by 9.8% and domestic flights (409,967) by 6.9%.
By control centre, the cumulative figures for Seville stand out, with 457,010 flights managed, a 13.6% increase; Barcelona with 962,646, 11.2% more; and Madrid, with over a million flights (1,101,387), 10.6% more.
A comparison between the totals for 2023 and the same period in 2019 shows an increase of 1.4%.

ENAIRE is the air navigation service provider in Spain.

ENAIRE, as the responsible agency identified by the Ministry of Sustainable Transport and Mobility to implement the U-Space system in Spain, will, through its digital platform, provide the Common Information Services (CIS), which are essential to facilitate U-space services to drones and Urban Air Mobility in cooperation with local air traffic services, so that all types of aircraft can fly safely in the same airspace.
ENAIRE has received the highest score in Europe on the aviation safety key performance indicator for three years in a row. It has also been awarded the EFQM 500 Seal for its safe, efficient, innovative and sustainable management of air navigation services.
