The European Commission visits ENAIRE's Control Centre in Seville to learn about projects subsidised with European funds
At the initiative of PERTE Aeroespacial, a delegation led by two members of the European Commission visited ENAIRE's Air Traffic Control Centre in Seville yesterday to observe first-hand the investments made under the Government of Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) with NextGenerationEU funds.
These European Commission representatives work with different funds: ERDF, Interreg, Just Transition Fund and Internal Security Fund, as well as the funds of the Revenue Ministry and the Regional Government of Andalusia.
ENAIRE, Spain's national air navigation service provider, part of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, is managing 107 million euros in grants awarded for projects in three main areas: digitisation, operational safety through technological modernisation, and sustainability. Currently, ENAIRE has already completed 95% of these initiatives.
The subsidised investments in the Seville Control Centre are part of ENAIRE's project "Actions for the Development of the Single European Sky".
