Exhibition curator Ángeles Imaña set herself the goal of choosing 15 works based on a profound reflection regarding space and its interpretations. “That’s why the exhibition plunges us into different representative areas of artistic concerns of the 20th and 21st centuries,” she said.
Ms Imaña said that the exhibition, featuring works by well-known artists including Miquel Barceló, José Manuel Ballester, Joan Miró, Ana Laura Aláez, Nico Munuera and Daniel Canogar, can be used to discover “spaces which have been a source of inspiration: the human space, where artists connect with human beings’ most intimate concerns; the creative space, where the creation of art occurs, the miracle of art; conceptual space, where people’s concerns become concepts and, finally, referential space, where one becomes aware of the relativity of dimensions”.
“Space vs Space” will be open to the public until Monday 31 July.
