ENAIRE announces subsidies for labour integration and job creation for people with disabilities
ENAIRE, the air navigation service provider in Spain, has issued an announcement for subsidies (published in the Official State Gazette on the 8th of this month) to help improve the employability and labour integration of the disabled population.
The subsidy announcement is directed to foundations and associations of public interest whose social purpose includes vocational training, job placement or the creation of jobs for people with disabilities and who present a project aimed at developing labour insertion and job creation activities that allow these individuals to be integrated into the labour market.
The subsidies will be awarded in keeping with the principles of openness, transparency, objectivity, equality and non-discrimination through a competitive tendering procedure and taking into account the assessment criteria laid out in Order FOM/926/2019 of 26 July, published in the Official State Gazette on 9 September 2019.
In addition to other information, applicants will be required to provide a detailed description of the project proposed for the subsidy that includes the technical aspects, activities to be carried out, objectives, feasibility, dissemination plan, innovative elements, project budget, etc.
ENAIRE, as a state-owned entity, enhances its contribution to the Global Compact and to the Sustainable Development Goals
The grants, the maximum amount of which is 697,122 euros, will be financed from ENAIRE's general budget. The maximum amount that may be awarded to each beneficiary individually will be 100,000 euros. Under no circumstances can the cost of the activity that is presented be exceeded, nor the total amount of aids awarded to a single company, as laid out in Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013.
The deadline for submitting applications is one month, starting from the day following the publication in the Official State Gazette of the subsidy announcement.
Foundations and associations of public interest that wish to obtain the subsidies must request them through ENAIRE's Electronic OfficeEl enlace se abre en una nueva ventana.
Commitment to CSR
This announcement for subsidies shows ENAIRE's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as promoted in its Strategic Plan, the 2020 Flight Plan.
In this regard, in 2019 ENAIRE also signed an agreement with the Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities (CERMI), the ONCE Foundation and the Spanish Business Federation of Associations of Employment Centres (FEACEM), which establishes a common framework for engaging in institutional collaboration, actions to raise awareness about disabled groups and to develop joint job placement policies for the air transport sector.
ENAIRE, as a publicly-owned corporate entity belonging to the Ministry of Works, reinforces its contribution to the goals of the United Nations Global Compact (which it joined in 2018), which entails the application of universal values and ethical principles to its entire strategy and to all its operations, and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the 2030 Agenda; specifically, to SDG 10 "Reduce Inequality", which in goal 10.2 promotes "the social, economic and political inclusion of all irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status".
