Europa Press journalist Cristina de la Rica winner of 22nd ENAIRE Foundation Journalism Award

Recognition of her news agency career and dedication to aeronautical sector informationEuropa Press journalist Cristina de la Rica has won the 22nd Journalism Award promoted by the ENAIRE Foundation, the cultural institution associated with ENAIRE.

The panel of judges unanimously gave the award to Ms de la Rica for her career as an agency journalist and her dedication to tracking aeronautical sector information. The award carries a prize of €12,000.

The ENAIRE Foundation Journalism Award is designed to recognise news articles related to air transport and navigation and those that concern airport facilities and services in general.

The panel of judges comprised the Secretary of State for Infrastructures, Transport and Housing, chairman of ENAIRE and chairman of the board of trustees of the ENAIRE Foundation, Julio Gómez-Pomar; the dean of the School of Information Science at Complutense University of Madrid, María del Carmen Pérez de Armiñán García Fonseca; the chairwoman of the Madrid Press Association, Victoria Prego, who delegated her vote to the association’s general secretary María Jesús Chao Álvarez de Sierra; and the head of the finance section of El Mundo newspaper, Marcos Iriarte, as the representative of last year’s winner (César Urrutia).
