Airlines are ENAIRE’s main clients, and pilots are the direct recipients of the air traffic control service provided by our controllers, as well as users of the communication and navigation aid systems, and the aeronautical information supplied by ENAIRE.
Airlines and commercial pilots
We believe in open communication and close collaboration with airlines and their pilots. Together, we solve challenges and continuously improve our services to meet their expectations.
Thanks to civil-military coordination, we enable more flexible use of airspace, allowing civil traffic to cross areas of airspace restricted for military use.
As air navigation service providers, we understand its needs and work tirelessly to exceed them:
- Safety: we guarantee the safety of every flight in an environment of increasing traffic volume, through our Safety Management System.
- Operational efficiency: we optimise the route network, reducing distances flown and flight times, helping airlines to reduce costs, emissions, and improve punctuality
- Reliability: our systems provide a continuous and reliable service, ensuring that airlines can rely on them at all times.
- Innovation: we stay at the forefront of technology, implementing innovative solutions that enhance safety and efficiency, such as satellite navigation, data link communications, and the automation of our systems.
Service quality indicators
ENAIRE continuously monitors a set of performance indicators that reflect the quality of service provided to airlines and pilots. Our company has established parameters for monitoring service quality across all phases of flight:
-
Aerodrome operations
Monitoring is carried out through metrics such as additional taxi-out time, additional taxi-in time, average flight delay at the aerodrome, and adherence to the departure slot.
-
Approach service
Monitored using indicators such as additional approach time in the terminal area, speed adherence, and the execution of continuous climbs and descents.
-
En-route service
Monitored using indicators such as in-route flight delays, horizontal flight efficiency on the route, and more.

ENAIRE has engaged in a joint process with DGAC and AESA to standardise and support the application of the exemption from indirect taxes (VAT/IGIC) for air navigation services provided to airlines, when the requirements specified in the law are satisfied.
In order for airlines to determine and exercise their right to this exemption by filing a "Statement of Compliance", the relevant forms for each case are available at the bottom of this page for those entities that need them.
